Hoq Sign
Send a PDF for signature, get back one sealed copy with its audit trail.
What it does
Hoq Sign sends a PDF to one or more people for signature. Each person gets their own link by email and signs in the browser. Signers do not need a Hoq account.
You choose the order. Signers can go one after another or all at once. Hoq Sign reminds whoever is waiting every three days, up to three times, and closes requests that pass their expiry date.
When everyone has signed, the values are written onto the pages, a certificate of completion is added, and the whole file gets a PAdES digital seal. Every step is recorded in an audit log where each entry carries the hash of the one before it.
Most people send from Hoq PDF, which places the fields and saves the signed copy back beside the original in your drive. Other software can send through the REST API.

Specifications
| Signers | No account needed. The link in their email is their access to that one document. |
|---|---|
| Routing | Sequential (one after another) or parallel (everyone at once). |
| Field types | Signature, initials, date, text, name and checkbox. |
| Signing methods | Draw, type, or upload a picture of a signature, on desktop or phone. |
| Finished document | Field values written onto the pages, a certificate of completion page added, then a PAdES seal over the whole file. |
| Certificate of completion | Lists each signer, when they signed, their IP address, their verification level, the document's SHA-256 hash and the audit chain head. |
| Audit trail | Append-only and SHA-256 hash-chained per envelope, so a changed entry breaks the chain. |
| Extra signer check | A request can require a one-time code sent to the signer's email. The code expires in 10 minutes. |
| Reminders and expiry | Reminders go to the person whose turn it is every 72 hours, at most three. Requests close at their expiry date. |
| Signer options | Signers can decline, and can download the document from their signing page. |
| Hoq Sign sends the invitation, your-turn, reminder, declined and signed-copy emails itself. |
